Its easy to overlook the Air Flight 89 due to its more popular and iconic sibling in the Air Jordan IV. With similar lines and design cues its hard not to at least appreciate how ground breaking this shoe was for its time and the impact it has made across the sneaker culture. Nike is set to bring the model back in several different colorways this Fall but this all black anthracite version may take the cake for us.
Simple monotone colorways like this are the best way to go when you have a classic and timeless silhouette like the Air Flight 89 letting the actual shoe shine through and take center stage. All black nubuck and suede lend themselves to the upper and quarters of the shoe with a matching blacked out bottom sole. You can look for these to start hitting retailers soon in the coming weeks.
